Antigua and Barbuda is grappling with the potential impact of U.S. immigration enforcement policies, with 110 Antiguans and Barbudans listed among the 1,445,549 noncitizens on the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) non-detained docket with final orders of removal. FULL DOCUMENT HERE:

The numbers, detailed in a November 2024 ICE report, underscore the far-reaching effects of the Trump administration’s renewed deportation drive.

The report reveals that several Caribbean countries have notable numbers of citizens facing deportation. Haiti tops the list for the region with 32,363 individuals, followed by the Dominican Republic with 12,699 and Jamaica with 5,120.

Smaller Caribbean nations also feature prominently, including Barbados (151), St. Lucia (202), and Grenada (149).

These figures place the Caribbean among the regions heavily impacted by the U.S.’s ongoing immigration enforcement measures.

Mexico leads the global list with a staggering 252,044 cases, followed by Guatemala (253,413), Honduras (261,651), and El Salvador (203,822). Other countries with significant numbers include China with 37,908 and Venezuela with 22,749.

The data highlights the global scale of ICE’s non-detained docket, which spans over 150 nationalities.

The Trump administration has made immigration enforcement a priority, deploying 10,000 troops to secure U.S. borders and implementing immediate deportations for individuals crossing illegally.

ICE has faced challenges in carrying out removals, with the report noting that some countries are classified as “uncooperative” or “at-risk” due to delays in issuing travel documents or refusing to accept nationals on deportation flights. While Antigua and Barbuda is not on these lists, Jamaica and St. Lucia are among 11 countries labeled “at-risk of non-compliance”.

For Antigua and Barbuda, the potential return of 110 nationals poses challenges for reintegration, including housing, employment, and access to social services.

The government is expected to assess its capacity to support returning citizens, while regional experts call for a unified Caribbean response to advocate for fair treatment of nationals and coordinated reintegration strategies.

As deportations intensify, the Caribbean region is bracing for the ripple effects of these measures, which could reshape demographics and economic dynamics across several nations.

Antigua and Barbuda, alongside its neighbors, continues to monitor the situation closely, aiming to mitigate the impact of these policies on its citizens.

  1. The date on the document says November 2024 which means it actually has nothing to do with Trump. Biden was still in power then.

  2. @antigua first, the US elections took place at the beginning of Nov. Trump started getting his orders together from that moment.

  3. I hope some of these serial bloggers like “my way of helping” and “islandman 268” and “dave ray” are on the list so them can come back to them shithole country. Now that will be a real gag! Prez Trump ah DE BEST!!!!!!!!!

  4. @Tog Dog in Action…No Lapping of Tail.

Lol, look at what Trump did when Colombia just tried that. Do you think Antigua can handle anything similar?

  5. Please refer these folks to my office. I have not been able to blog much because I am getting immigration cases like crazy. Just got an Antiguan in Antigua, their greencard approval today. That person is in Antigua. If you know my WhatsApp, follow my WhatsApp channel. And please send me those deportation cases.

  6. MAGA ah work but they were on the deportation list since Biden was in office! Those are the backlogs from the Biden administration! Oh well!🤔🤔

  7. Can antigua handle all these deportees?
    More hunger, more poverty!
    Father help us!
Didn’t the pm say he admire trump🤔

  8. I am not surprised that Guyana is not on this list.because the united states’ wants to be very close friends with Guyana at this time (oil)

  9. @Sandra Clark,
Gaston is ahead of the game. That’s why he is trying to build houses in Barbuda that the Barbudans don’t want.
Antigua and Barbuda will be open borders for the deportees. The Ecumenicals will be hiding under the pulpits rather than providing assistance
    You read it here first

  10. Really!
    I doubt that very much!
These deportees are going to end up right on these streets!
The housing project in barbuda are not for them!
Unless families don’t take them in they will not fare very well!

  11. I will advocate for a Caribbean amnesty program to take effect, base of the fact that the Caribbean basin is the USA’s third border. And the alarming presence of China’s encroachment in the hemisphere; should lend itself to – zDonald relenting and, cut us some slack; and refer the deporties to Canada or China: as a preference of his imminence of compassion for Americans first posturing- and the advent of the looming imminent cataclysm event; expected to be taking place in the South China Sea. It would be to his advantage, to strengthen his Caribbean border flank; base on the close proximity to the USA Atlantic seaboard and, he should forget about making America-white-again. Ah! But such is life: Such be the epitome.

  12. Are all these deportees native born Antiguans and Barbudans? Or, are the deportees who are native of other countries but hold an A&B citizenship by nationalization? We need to know the nationality of these deportees who are coming to our shores soon! Antigua is a small country and we cannot accommodate all 110 at once?

  13. Antigua should expect to see the JAMACIANS deportees heading to our shores, as well as an increased number of them now that Trump has put up the notice visa denied to them. When will Antigua do the same? Antigua is full to capacity with foreign nationals.

  14. @Look again He was not inaugurated until 2025 thus had no power to do anything until the reigns were passed. Please look again.

  15. I doubt that 70 percent of these people are Antiguan Aboriginals… Instead foreign nationals who used Antigua as a route of passage to the United States by Marriage or Purchasing a stolen ID… I have met a few from other Caribbean countries who have admitted to using Antigua to get to America… It was a known fact.. it’s easier getting to America through Antigua… Back to my Question… are these Antiguan Aboriginals ???

  16. These responses really are shameful though not unexpected. This is a typical case of black nearga rejoicing at the plight of their own at the hands of the new “massa”. I’m so ashamed of us.

  17. @Blogger.

I come back to my “shit-hole” country every year fool, sometimes up to 4 times a year, but why would I announce my return to idiots like you? I might be the same guy you probably beg for a few dollars on one of your useless days in stinking St johns begging tourist.huumm!

Yes, I come back to the shit-hole country that you and Gatson has sold out to the Chinese..so keep singing for your little ham and turkey that you get from your useless PM.

Oh, and by the way, I’m a citizen of 4 countries, and have done well enough for myself, so I have options dumbo.
You think that it’s everyone that travels to the US and Europe, go there and make an ass of themselves? I have kids who are engineers, and school was something that came easy for me, so when it comes to building anything, hardy a person in Antigua can match my skills.
So you definitely do not want me back in that shit hole, cause I can make it anywhere, and have made it everywhere I’ve gone. Europe, the US, Canada, and even shit hole Antigua that I’ve left almost 40 years ago.

    So keep dreaming fool.

  18. A lot of these deportees regardless of which caribbean country they are from will eventually end up right here, mark my word then it will be fire in we bam bam

  19. @Elvin Peters. Antiguan Aboriginals? You mean the Arawak? The Kalinago (Caribs)?

Those brought over in slave ships from West Africa are not “Antiguan Aboriginals”.

  20. The only thing i can stay,we can’t tell a leader how to run his or her country, differently from American, there are places that we can’t even enter,so if we entered a next country, and don’t go by the constitution, what you expect to happen…

  21. Islandman26 I could neva beg ya rasa anything. I a well off BRITISH CITIZEN. I live in my shithole country Antigua real nice and could beg no politicians neither red nor blue anything. I run my multiple businesses very successful. I’m well educated and when I travel to the US never overstay my welcome unlike people like u begging lodging in Trump land. So please and thank move your foward ass. No go hide in FEAR before ICE comes for ya ass.

  22. Any country has the right to remove illegal visitors from within. People that are illegal are breaking then law of that country. We have that in Antigua as well. And when the UPP took office in 2004 it was one of their mandates. And it was known that immigration officers went all over picking up illegal persons and deporting them. I don’t know why people get upset with Trump doing this now. It is a very huge problem in the USA. Even I have family members living in the USA for years and they have not been able to regulate their status. They cannot even come home on vacation. What I hope it that the USA assist us in receiving these people. Because we do not have extra housing or jobs whatsover to receive them. And some or most of them do not have the support of the family either.

  23. Cutie should do the right thing, which is to revoked those individuals citizenship who obtained their status by default and return them to their home countries.
Criminal nationals returning should be put on tags. In addition, the same approached should apply to Olabanjo and Gaston’s migrants that were smuggled out of Antigua.

Antigua’s crime rates is sufficiently high therfore the broken Immigration Services should protect our borders and stooped the flow of criminals residingin Antigua

  24. OK FOLKS RELAX…..DONALD TRUMP IS NOT DOING ANYTHING DIFFERENT…..ILLIGALS HAVE BEEN SENT BACK TO THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES FOUR DECADES…NO MATTER WHICH PRESIDENT OR PARTY THEY SEND THEM BACK….ONLY DIFFERENCE IS DONALD TRUMP HAS THE COURAGE TO TALK ABOUT IT OTHER PRESIDENTS KEEP THAT CONVERSATION ON THE DOWN LOW….MAGA!!!!
