On Tuesday April 29th Dogs and Cats of Antigua will be sponsoring a mini airlift and flying 9 dogs to their forever homes in the US.

For the first time ever, we are working with MAPS of Montserrat to fly out 2 of their dogs Rocky and Ting.

This move has been spearheaded by one of their supporters Leanne Vath who is flying the dogs into Antigua on Fly Montserrat on Sunday and Monday.

All 9 dogs will fly out of Antigua on an Amerijet Cargo flight.

They are expected to arrive in Miami late Tuesday afternoon.

Leanne will the meet the dogs in Miami and will drive Rocky and Ting to the Humane Society in Atlanta who will be rehoming them.

Our Sanctuary dogs will be heading to foster to adopt homes in Wisconsin and three of them will be heading to adoptive homes in Massachusetts.

Two of our DACOA Board members Nicole Jardim and Mary Beth Lane will be handling their ground transportation once they are on US soil.

Dogs and Cats of Antigua have transported about 96 dogs overseas for the first quarter of 2025.

This movement of dogs from the Sanctuary to overseas homes frees up space so we can help more Antiguan dogs in need.
