A 5.8 magnitude earthquake was felt in Antigua and Barbuda and neighbouring islands St Kitts, Nevis and Guadeloupe on Christmas Eve at about 11:12 am.
This according to the University of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre.
The tremor’s centre was located 163 km north west of St John’s, at a depth of 68 km.
Residents reported feeling its effects on social media.
