
Bus Fire at West Bus Station Terminal Sparks Safety Concerns
Passengers at the West Bus Station Terminal were left shaken on Saturday after a bus burst into flames on the premises.
Video circulating on social media shows plumes of thick black smoke rising from the vehicle as bystanders scrambled to safety. Firefighters were called to the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control.
No injuries have been reported, but the bus was extensively damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and officials from the Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board, along with emergency services, are expected to conduct further assessments.
The incident has renewed concerns over vehicle safety and maintenance standards across the public transport system.

The last line! I really do wonder with some of these buses, are there any rule or anything in the conditions these buses suppose to be? Cause some of these buses should be taken off the road

Some of these buses are not road worthy, most of the drivers don’t practice good hygiene, the buses are dirty….and they dont have good mannerisms…need to have a rule to ensure the all drivers are properly attired, buses are properly cleaned and regular spot checks are done.
