In what has become a highly anticipated annual tradition, the Sandals Foundation over the weekend wrapped up a week of Christmas parties which saw 700 children at schools and institutions around the country treated to gifts and parties.
Students from the Villa Primary, Green Bay Primary, and Cedar Grove Primary received visits from Sandals Foundation volunteers who brought ice cream, cake and Christmas gifts with them.
The Annual Mount St John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) Children’s Christmas Party, the Museum’s Christmas Gifts for Children project, the Board of Guardians annual Christmas party and Antigua Youth for Christ – Kids Live Club also received a contribution of gifts from the Sandals Foundation.
“This is a long tradition which is executed by the employees of Sandals and Beaches hotels in seven countries across the Caribbean,” Heidi Clarke, Sandals Foundation Executive Director, said.
“The gifts are donated by Hasbro and the resort employees volunteer their time to wrap gifts and to deliver them to eagerly awaiting children. It’s a great way to end a year of supporting community work and inspiring hope across the region.”
