A tragic incident occurred at a resort in Antigua, where a guest from Alabama, Roy Vicich, drowned.
According to reports, the hotel doctor reported that the guest was at the pool bar at around 6pm when he suddenly became unresponsive.
Despite efforts by CPR-trained personnel and EMT officials to revive him, Vicich tragically did not survive.
He was 64. Police are investigating.

Please do not post disrespectful comments. This man was my friend for 46 years and he was the FINEST human being you could have ever known. It is a tragic accident and we back in the states are grieving like we have never before… so please… show some respect.
I was there when this happened, lifeguards walked away, didn’t have a clue, no de fib by the pool, five guests from a wedding party did CPR for 30 mins before the ambulance arrived, poor guy and his wife, shame on you Sandals!
